My Bio
I haven't really colored since I was a kid, but have recently found it to be very fun. I've met so many talented artists, inkers, and colorists in the short time I've been "back" to DA and their influence has been substantial. I'm still looking for my own style while admiring the fantastic style of others. The one thing that keeps me motivated is looking at the old deviations of my favorite artists and seeing a vast improvement to today's work.

I'd say I'm most inspired by strong female characters. There is not much a woman can do that would make her sexier than if you think she can kick your ass. I always ask myself if the colors I am laying down are helping to enhance the piece, or if they are just there for the sake of being there. I've done countless pieces that I do not post to DA because I feel they don't meet this criteria, and a few that maybe have slipped in anyway.

I just got commissioned to color a graphic novel. Unfortunately I cannot post the results on this site. I'm very excited to get started.

If, by chance, you are wondering about hiring me for a project, send me a note and maybe we can make an arrangement.

It's going well! I'm about a dozen pages in (including pure black pages and all.) And things are progressing rather slowly but we still have a while until the first book needs to be completed. A few pages have actually been very challenging. The art style is what I would call 'messy' Which uses a lot of texture layers rather than the straight up black and white inks you find on my gallery. So you may use the exact same blue on two pages, but one page comes out way darker or lighter so I have to try to compensate by choosing a different color. It makes it a bit harder to keep up with continuity, but I'm managing so far! The art style is very

I think I'm going to take a little time away from coloring to work on my drawings. I am so bad at drawing. SO BAD. Well, probably not all that horrible but you are always your biggest critic. I found this great site at conceptart.org with some awesome lessons for improving. Maybe I'll post them, but as I don't always have access to a scanner it may not be so easy.

Color inside the lines? You listen here, lines. I'm the human! No line is going to tell me where to color.
